| Noble Tasting
The class system of Europe once separated the commoners from the nobility, a similar system still exists today but the subjects are no longer people. The “ Noble Grape “ varieties have the potential to make the greatest wines in the world. Every noble grape variety can claim at least one wine producing region where it reigns as King. The wines made from noble grapes in their home vineyards can be so great that they inspire wine makers around the world to attempt to emulate this greatness in far away lands. While the grape may remain noble, it’s results in other vineyards are often less then moving.
We will examine 6 Noble grape varieties from their classic growing areas.
